The Hammers midfielder has stated that his team-mate has the potential to really go “all the way”.
The 21-year-old midfielder was in the middle of his third year in senior football, having played 29 days in England’s top flight before the coronavirus pandemic interrupted the effort.
But the England international had won such acclaim he was being connected with a possible summer transfer to Manchester United, Manchester City, and Chelsea.
Wilshere, that was hailed a wonderkid in Arsenal before injuries took their toll, has endorsed his colleague to”go all of the ways” in his profession.
“You know everything, there are so many great young players, but the one which I get to watch each day and I get to play [is] Dec – Declan Rice,” he said responding to a live question and answer session on Instagram.
“He could go all of the way, he is unbelievable. Left foot, right foot and he is a fantastic lad.
Rice has theorized that Chelsea might be his favorite destination, despite being published by the Blues as a kid, largely due to the existence of Mason Mount.
“Yeah I would really like to, I would really like to play him [Mount] at the heart level,” he informed Copa90 of this possibility of teaming up with an older team-mate once again.
“One thing we have always said as children we would really like to play with one another at the club and global level but you will never know due to distinct avenues and things like this.”
Mount’s dad Tony had revealed from the recent years: “Mason and Declan are best buddies. They’ve been and still exist. They speak to each other all the time.
Debbie [Mount’s mother] was tears and Mason had been gobsmacked.”
Rice has gone on to create over a hundred senior appearances, while he’s scored two goals and assisted on two in Premier League play with. He has played 90 games in the top flight, and he has turned out seven days for England after shifting nationality, having formerly turned out for its Republic of Ireland.
