West Ham United were able to make around 50% successful loose ball recoveries in the game. Declan Rice and Pablo Fornals both won three loose ball duels each for the Hammers.
The victory saw Man City move up to second place in this season’s Premier League standings with 29 points from their 13 games. Pep Guardiola’s men are now one point behind leaders Chelsea and one ahead of third-placed Liverpool. Their opponents on the day, West Ham, are in fourth place with 23 points. The Hammers are looking strong and will be hoping to keep their top-four spot, with a lot of pressure from numerous other teams in the race for Champions League qualification. Only five points separate fourth-placed West Ham and 10th placed Leicester City, with Arsenal, Wolves, Tottenham, Man United and Brighton all in contention for the highly wanted fourth spot.
