West Ham started in a 4-2-3-1 formation, with Michail Antonio leading the attack for the Hammers.

West Ham only made two changes to their squad in the second half of the game.

Burnley started in a 4-4-2 formation, with a front two of Wout Weghorst and Jay Rodriguez.

Burnley had to make an early substitution in the game as Ashley Westwood suffered a head injury and was replaced by Josh Brownhill.

West Ham generated a higher xG than their opponents as they attempted 20 shots on goal and completed more attacking actions. The Hammers completed 45% of the crosses they attempted.

Michail Antonio generated the highest xG from his seven shots on target. Antonio also attempted six dribbles.

West Ham had 20 shots on goal and managed to keep seven shots on target. They had an xG of 0.13 per shot.

Burnley had nine shots on goal, and most of their shots were from inside the penalty area. They only had one shot on target and managed to score with that attempt.

The xT timeline indicates that West Ham displayed much better performance in the second half of the game. They had more shots on goal in the second half.

Aaron Cresswell attempted the most passes for his team, and he made the most passes to Nikola Vlasic.

Burnley struggled to keep possession of the ball and only completed 79% of their passes.

West Ham attempted the majority of their passes from the left flank as most of the crosses played into the box were from the left flank. Aaron Cresswell attempted six crosses.

Burnley attempted six smart passes and 16 crosses in the game. Charlie Taylor played two smart passes and put six crosses into the box.

Issa Diop won the most number of defensive duels for his team as he won three of his eight duels.

Tomas Soucek won six of his 15 aerial duels and also scored the equaliser for West Ham.

Diop also recovered most loose balls as he won five of the nine duels he competed for.

Burnley won 50% of the defensive duels they attempted, and most of these duels were in the defensive third.

James Tarkowski won four of his six duels and only lost two aerial balls.

Wout Weghorst attempted the most number of loose ball duels for the visitors, but only managed to win one loose ball duel.

Jarrod Bowen generated the highest xT from the corners he attempted for West Ham from the right flank.

Maxwell Cornet took three of Burnley’s four corners and generated an xT of 0.48 from these situations.
